Clarisa Aragon and Jonathan Saavedra belong to a new generation of young dancers who devote themselves entirely to the art of Tango Dancing. Their mission is to make tango a lifestyle and, through hard work and commitment to this art, to pass on their traditions. Their onset as professional dance partners took place in 2012 in the province of Córdoba, from where they are native. Both their families and the tango community in their area supported them unconditionally from the starting point. This meant the world for them since it created what they believe to be the foundations of their art.
During the following years, they went through a number of enriching experiences such as dancing competitions, shows and Tango events which encouraged them to take the decision of becoming professional dancers. Along with the support of great Maestros and instructors, they were able to develop an unique style both in their performances and in their teaching system. They strongly believe their performances are a way to genuinely open up to anyone interested in Tango and to share with them what they do. Throughout their lessons, they offer their students their points of view on technique, different tools for each dancer, and all of their knowledge so that others can experiment how they go about this wonderful art.
Clarisa Aragon and Jonathan Saavedra become Tango world champions
Once in Buenos Aires, growth opportunities that not even themself believed to be possible began to emerge. They decided to show their work in the most popular Milongas and Tango competitions such as the Campeonato de la Cuidad and the Festival y Mundial de Tango (Tango World Championship). In 2015 they finally became World Champion in Tango de Pista. Nowadays, they find themselves touring the world attending the most well-known festivals and Tango events, as they make their contribution and they pass along this tradition. They hope you can join them in their journey!
